Acerola-Vitamin C + Zitrusflavonoide can be used especially during times of increased needs e.g. during cold and wet weather, in case of fatigue, stress or physical strain. Vitamin C contributes to a healthy immune- and nervous system, helps to protect cells from oxidative stress, contributes to a normal energy metabolism and reduces fatigue and tiredness.
Acerola cherries as a natural source
The contained Vitamin C and citrus flavonoids originate from the powder of acerola cherries, rosehip, blueberries and oranges. Acerola cherries grow in the tropics of Central and South America. They are considered to be the richest fruit in vitamin C, along with rosehip and oranges.
Vitamin C – a multitalent!
Our performance and physical well-being is under the constant influence of external factors. Sufficient exercise and a healthy diet have a positive influence on our overall wellness. Due to the fact that your body can not store vitamin C, because it is water-soluble, it has to be taken daily. In times of cold and wet weather, physical or mental stress or in case of an unbalanced diet an additional vitamin C intake is useful to support your immune system. Vitamin C is not only the best known of all vitamins, it is "multitalent" because it fulfills a wide range of tasks in our body. The two components in Acerola-Vitamin C + Zitrusflavonoide from Dr. Wolz, support each others positive effects.
What are citrus flavonoids?
Citrus flavonoids belong to the so-called phytochemicals. These are bioactive substances that plants produce to protect themselves from environmental impacts. Citrus flavonoids, sometimes being referred to as "vitamin P", are a mixture of flavonoids that are complemented by other phytochemicals, such as natural colorants of rosehip and blueberries (anthocyanins) - therefore, the biological activity of vitamin C from acerola cherries harmonizes with the effects of citrusflavonoids. The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Ernährung (DGE), engl. German nutrition association recommends a daily consumption of five fist-sized units of fruit and vegetables. We offer our naturally sourced Acerola-Vitamin C + Zitrusflavonoide supplement to anyone who is unable to follow this recommendation.
